Skosan out for Super Season

Courtnall Skosan will miss at least six months of rugby following a torn AC ligament in his knee.

This is a big blow to the Lions, but perhaps a blessing in disguise for the Springboks, as Skosan is a very effective try scorer for the Lions, but has shown himself incapable of taking the step up into the big league of international rugby.

The Lions head coach Swys de Bruin says: “It’s a big blow. It happened in a freak accident in training on Monday… and it wasn’t even a contact session. He just ran into another guy. It’s a huge setback, but we’re at least well covered on the wing.”

He has represented South Africa in 12 Tests in 2017 and scored two tries.
